POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the following functions for assigned multi-product line service center location - Risk & Claim Management, Customer Services; effectively manages claim and customer service operation to ensure delivery of quality-focused, cost effective service and administration
Has responsibility for overall risk management of multi-million dollar site book of business reserves.
Has responsibility for managing diverse functions, including claim examination, determination and settlements, claim investigations, premium waiver examination and determination, life conversions, beneficiary management, clinical and vocational rehabilitation case management, social security assistance, external vendors, customer service and reporting, business systems, audit, training, process consulting and medical underwriting
Translates org. strategies into clear objectives and business strategies.
Establishes and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with other managers/areas/business segments and core operations ensuring all processes and work interdependencies are identified/addressed on an on-going basis
Supports process reviews and quality audits of Service Center operations; incorporates results into performance evaluation and reward systems for local staff; has accountability for developing & implementing cost saving strategies & processes
Develops, trains, evaluates, & coaches staff to provide cost effective claim management while ensuring that quality standards are met
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience.
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
Background/Experience Desired:

years management experience.
Business experience in a large disability or health care environment or similar Aetna culture.
Experience managing diverse assignments and multiple priorities.
Experience managing a large (500
employee) operation.
Leadership experience including staff selection and development.
Education and Certification Requirements
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent industry experience.
Advanced degree preferred.
