Summary Spring Harbor Hospital, located in the greater Portland, Maine area and a division of Maine Behavioral Healthcare, is seeking a BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist for one of their Adult 24 bed inpatient units.

Spring Harbor Hospital (SHH) is southern Maine's only nonprofit, private psychiatric hospital offering psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, and adults.
The hospital's mission is to deliver the most sophisticated strategies currently available enabling patients to return to normal functioning more quickly than in any other setting.
Treatment emphasizes return-to-work strategies and cognitive therapies to help patients make the smoothest possible transition from the hospital in the shortest possible time.
SHH devotes 60 beds to the treatment of adults who experience acute psychiatric illness and co-occurring disorders.
There are two 24 bed units, and a 12 bed unit divided into 5 teams.
The hospital also has a 14 bed Adolescent Unit and a 14 bed child unit, and a 12 bed nationally recognized developmental disorders unit for child and adolescents.
There is also assistance of an admissions NP Tuesday to Friday from 8:
00 am to 6:
00 PM.
The unit specializes in providing the necessary inpatient care to smoothly transition people to the right level of care in the community setting and is a unique opportunity to be part of a new multi-disciplinary team focused on utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches.
The team works in a multidisciplinary fashion under the leadership of the attending physician.
There is assistance from a shared NP/PA typically covering 2-4 patients, in addition to Social Work, Discharge Planning, Utilization and Management, Nursing, Psychiatric Technicians, an employment specialist, and a shared hospital wide Family Navigator.
There is also assistance from primary care for History, Physicals and Medical Consultations.
The Adult care teams treat a spectrum of psychiatric disorders including major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring disorders and discharge planners assist in securing timely and appropriate aftercare services.
Average length of stay for adult patients is approximately ten days.
There is a robust collegial atmosphere which includes weekly case conference, grand rounds, and 6 adult psychiatrists, 6 child psychiatrists, a behavioral analyst, psychologist, as well allied health providers including 6 Physician Assistants and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
Manageable call expectations:

8 weekends (less frequent most often), which does not require being overnight at the hospital and is reimbursed at $1000 per day.
Additional moonlighting opportunities across hospitals within the system exist as well.
Candidates will have an Assistant Professor Faculty appointment at Tufts School of Medicine, and the opportunity to teach Residents and Fellows at Maine Medical Center, the state's leading tertiary care hospital with a full complement of residencies and fellowships, and an integral part of the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Medical School Program.
Teaching opportunities also exist for Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacy Students, Social Workers, and Nursing Students.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
