If so, please consider applying for this Employment Evaluator - Vocational Specialist position today!YOUR LIFE AS A EMPLOYMENT EVALUATOR - VOCATIONAL SPECIALISTThis full-time human services position with our human services nonprofit works the day shift during business hours.
As an Employment Evaluator - Vocational Specialist in human services, you are responsible for interviewing our clients to ascertain their employment, education, and training history.
By administering and scoring tests and vocational evaluation tools, you assess each client's vocational interests, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, behaviors, and functional limitations.
You measure your client's responses to determine motivational techniques as well as gauge their organizational ability, perseverance, attendance, punctuality, flexibility, work habits, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In addition, you develop employment plans, including education and vocational training referrals.
You also conduct other assessments, including medical, mental health, substance abuse, and psychosocial.
After receiving the results, you determine the appropriate work experience program (WEP) referrals and which jobs are best suited for the client.
You maintain routine contact with other service providers, such as case managers, job placement coordinators, job developers, and WEP specialists, to ensure our clients receive well-rounded assistance.
You document all client services and activities in our CARES system.
Additionally, you prepare special reports and perform any other duties that are necessary to ensure our clients have a satisfactory experience with our nonprofit.
