Job Overview:

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking experienced Field Construction Manager to join our Renewables Team in Portland, Maine.
Responsibilities & Duties:
:
Work with Construction Managers managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects Execute work orders and inspections Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and signoffs for construction projects.
Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.
Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System Operator Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of five (5) years experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management Two (2) years of college is preferred MS Suite Required - with high competency in MS Excel Knowledge of NRA clearances and switching orders would be beneficial Applicants should have the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to review project plans, specifications, contract enforcement, and applicable technical standards, OSHA, and other regulatory statutes.
Knowledge of GPS Systems & knowledge of SAP is preferred Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings and convey interpretations to contractors Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment.
Extensive knowledge of electric utility industry materials and equipment is a must.
Able to assess the health of Utility assets and equipment as they relate to the utility inspection program.
Good working knowledge through actual use of MS Office products including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project.
Able to physically walk distribution lines or remote transmission right of ways.
Experience in interaction with contractors and assessing their work.
Perform QA/QC Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver License in good standing Must be a resident of Maine or able to relocate to Portland Area.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
